Annual Music Festival

St Chad’s annual music festival traditionally takes place on the first May Bank Holiday weekend of each year.

Unfortunately the 2014 could not take place.

For information about past festivals, please see below.

In 2011 the opening night coincided with the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton…. Even the TV cameras (BBC Midlands Today) came to join in the celebrations at St Chad’s as we hosted an evening of “Music for Royal Occasions” with wedding cake and champagne to make the evening go with a swing.

The Boscastle Busker folk singer (second photo) was one of a range of musicians who contributed to the Festival in both 2011 and 2012.
Highlights of the 2012 Music Festival also included a performance of the Requiem by Mozart from the English Symphony Orchestra and the St Chad’s Festival Chorus. The 2013 featured an outstanding concert of Verdi’s Requiem to celebrate Verdi’s anniversary year.
