Telford Together and Refugees: James Monger (a parishioner, also a priest) has a link with a pastor in Telford who has many refugees in his congregation from one of the Telford hotels. He has recently baptised several who have become Christians. He also supports Telford Together with Refugees, a small charity that seeks to provide them with clothing and other essentials.
Currently, they are very low on supplies and their sister organisation (Shropshire Supports Refugees) also has very little stock. This is because the Government is seeking to process applications for asylum more quickly and is moving people around, so new people are constantly arriving in the hotel.
James is offering to be a collection hub for items below and can provide them via the pastor to TTR. Items can be new or second hand. Younger men’s clothing needed new or second hand : Trainer sizes: 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, T shirts & football tops: S, M, L (not XL +) Jeans, shorts, jogging pants sizes: 28 ,30, 32, 34, 36/ Mens’ Belts & caps / Cases, holdalls, rucksacks.
