Sunday worship in ordinary time. This is the order of service for 10am on most Sundays of the year.
Rev Sam is really the Vicar of the Town Centre.
He looks after two churches: St Chad’s and St Alkmund’s. There is a good relationship between them and there are regular services every Sunday in both churches, thanks to some retired priests who assist Sam. Once a month there is a United Benefice service where both congregations join together – it takes place alternately between the two churches. Sam divides his time between the churches taking approximately three Sunday services in St Chad’s to one in St Alkmund’s.
Sunday worship in St Chad’s usually 8am Eucharist, 10am Eucharist and 6pm Choral Evensong. Once a month choral evensong is replaced with an alternative evening worship – sometimes a Taize service, sometimes Evening Prayer.
Please check: exact weekly details are on the front page of the website.
